My poor partner

I'm so stressed and money is so tight he's depressed and he gets lazy when he gets depressed and that does not work well with me and now he's more depressed and he's stressed and we're all just very stressed, I stress.

Yeah, I can understand depression as I've been there but he can't afford to get lazy and you would be right to try and push him to do his part. You can just quit being a joint responsible adult. Shit still needs to get done and depression doesn't make you paralysed.
