No. I can tell my husband. He will listen end express empathy. But he's not able to help.
My friends, even though they like me, are not the sort who can help either, though for different reasons. They see stress or unhappiness as a sign that one is not spiritual - and that's as far as it goes - tantamount to a judgement - certainly not helpful. They have no idea what I'm going through at present. I've seen how they treat others when they're down or in need - they ignore them. It's easier to just be there, listening to their repartee, responding when and as required.
Several people may help, depending on what causes me pain. Music is also helping. Sometimes I get emotionally crushed and feel betrayed by someone who may still become a helper at another moment.
