What are your best go-to stress relievers?

I’ve tried quite a few already— deep breathing, meditation, hot bath, extra sleep, etc. I’m still getting knots in my stomach and tension headaches.
What are your tried and true de-stressing activities?

Exercise, breathing, listening to music

Exercise really helps the adrenaline out tbh
Even if its just doing silly dancing
Its my go to when stressed
Or a spliff lol

@Gangstress Certainly better than the bottle of Vodka I used to neck.....

@KiwiBird i noticed a massive difference from when i used to drink a lot with my sleep tbh
Less wake ups and more sleep 😴
KiwiBird · 36-40, F
@Gangstress Absolutely. I can sleep my 6.5 hours without waking up at all.....
@Gangstress @KiwiBird i agree with you both.
I used to hang out for the weekends, so i could drink and destress.

But its only a temporary state, a bandaid.

I quit it altogether a while back, and i sleep better, and feel better in the morning. My digestion is better and my craving for sugar is so much less.

I think we often forget that we can support our body to heal, which then supoorts our mind to heal.
I mean, its all chemistry right🤷‍♀️

@OogieBoogie I still crave sugar....but I guess that's better than drinking.
@KiwiBird its one step at a time aint it.
You cant change everything at once.

And given your exercise workouts, ( which blow me out), i kinda think a little sugar wont hurt.
Gangstress · 41-45, F
the sugar craving isnt too bad
But i am eaten like 3 fruits all at once which has its own natural sugars i suppose thats ok

Ill only ever give advice which ive tried and proven effective

Stress is horrible and it manifests on us in different ways @OogieBoogie @KiwiBird
@Gangstress stress is diabolical!
It can give you cancer, stop your heart , make you sick and kill you !

And you're so right
About how everyone manifests it differently.

And im like you in that i can only reccomend what ive tried and found to work .

@OogieBoogie I do have my weight under control....so not that worried about the sugar.....more questioning the cravings.

@Gangstress Fresh fruit is my go to as well as Chocolate (Dark 70%)

@KiwiBird
I love dark chocolate 🍫 the bitterness oh yes
KiwiBird · 36-40, F
@Gangstress I forgot to add dark chocolate icecream....lol.
