These electric bills in the uk are stressing me out

Why cant u get a straight forward bill? I get estimate readings and i send them my actual readings and they charge me for the estimated readings when i already paid for my readings like wtf?

Should i just get a smart meter? Would that help?

Sounds like they are playing it safe at your expense . Has the war in Ukraine caused large increases in the bill?

We have gone from $5 to $4 a gallon in the states in just this past month. I hope it continues.

@Pfuzylogic we went from £1.90 a litre to £1.70 a litre.

Comes out to still almost $10 a gallon if i had to convert it. Stupid expensive 😒

When i get back from maternity leave im transfering my job closer to home and walking to work.

@Pfuzylogic yeah its easy to get around without a car where i live, luckily. My husband drives so its not so bad but i can work closer to home.
