At what age did you realize no one was going to save you?

Not too long ago.
It was the biggest epiphany of my life.

10th August 1980, married the day before

When I was about six. First time I tried to kill myself.

Not too long after passing the toddler stage.

Preferably a couple years before realizing you don't need saving.

I realized this very early on in life

Around age 26 I think. 😅

Very young.

Sadly, I held out some misguided hope way way waaay too long and then at 41 a flip switched in my brain.

Apparently it still didn't hit the right parts of the brain because I still haven't started behaving accordingly.
