I wanted to be a concert pianist, or a teacher.
@bijouxbroussard Do you play? I imagine you must have.
@bijouxbroussard I loved my brief stint teaching. It was fun.
@bijouxbroussard Thank you, it just became a passion/hobby (they can be the same) instead?
@thewindupbirdchronicles Basically, yes. Some of my early part-time jobs were as an accompanist for singers, groups, glee clubs and in college, I was often on call when someone needed a pianist. I also played for a ballet class back then, too. Now I just play for my own enjoyment.
@bijouxbroussard Just being in that kind of creative environment is a stimulus for wanting to do more. A former partner did set design, as a result, he pressured the director into giving me a character part in a musical (Calamity Jane) Ironically, I ended up stealing the show. So fun!
@bijouxbroussard I hope you hold no regrets this way (context to original topic) and thank you for sharing in this. I know you have a love of music, a gift in finding it, never really knew you had a gift in performing it too.
