Cost of Living & People’s Everyday Struggles

Insurance costs—especially auto and home—are a big concern, and many families feel squeezed by high premiums and systemic challenges. Despite the challenges, I see a shift—more people believe in Louisiana’s future again. I’d love to meet someone who sees that possibility, too There’s a renewed sense of cautious optimism among Louisianans. Recent polling shows more residents believe the state is heading in the right direction, especially on issues like economy and education.

Past a point, they just have to build further inland. New Orleans is not going to last forever in the face of rising sea levels. Fucked part is, it's the only walkable city in the entire state, so unless they can build a new one, there's not gonna be a way around COL increases from automotive costs.

That said I've never been there, so ignore my opinion.
