Past a point, they just have to build further inland. New Orleans is not going to last forever in the face of rising sea levels. Fucked part is, it's the only walkable city in the entire state, so unless they can build a new one, there's not gonna be a way around COL increases from automotive costs.

@BlueVeins it’s on my top 10 list of walkable cities in America for sure
BlueVeins · 22-25
@AthrillatheHunt Eh, it's nowhere near top 10 imo but it's not bad.

That said I've never been there, so ignore my opinion.

You seem like a smart girl. And I recently read that Louisiana is still strong and recovering after Katrina.
Maybe I'll take a vacation there sometime

I try to see hope and beauty in all.

@QCDog2659 it’s there when you look for it

Hasn't the mayor of new orleans just been indicted? That would seem to dent the confidence.

At least that’s the line Fox News, Newsmax et al are feeding you.

Let me guess, you also believe Trump won but had the election stolen in 2020. Yes?

Eventually and not very far in the future New Orleans is going to be either fully or partially submerged under water. So..
