I'm so sorry. We become attached to animals exactly as if they were like family and they are to us.
I thought about getting a turtle. And my last place I lived in there was a humongous turtle in the backyard but I was afraid to go near it haha but now I wish I had. Oh my goodness it was so huge there's no way I could have picked it up. But I was thinking about getting a turtle. I know they love it when you scratch their back. And they have their own little sweet and cute personalities. What was her name? Will you be getting another turtle? Maybe a baby so it will live a long time with you?

@Birdbox1986 Those are giant tortises ftom the Galapogos Islands. Red Eared Terrapins, like mine, there, live an average of thirty years (which is exactly how long I had her). Red Ears, like mine, come from the southern United States.

@Birdbox1986 It's not a giant Gplopogus Island tortise. It’s a red-eared terrapin, or pond turtle, from the southern United States. Their average lifespan is thirty years.
