I think my mom is dying, she is getting cancer treatments and my brother keeps getting her McDonalds.

I'm sorry for your mother.

Right before my mother died, it seemed she knew she was dying. She insisted that I made it possible for her to spend the day with her parents.

Four days later, she passed.

When someone knows that they are about to die. They want memories they had. Say they quit smoking for 30 years ago and one day they stop at a store and buy a pack. Go sit in lawn chair, with a beer, light up that cigarette and pass away in peace.

So let her have her McDonald's.

@HumanEarth Yeah If someone is older and will soon be gone anyways, might as well let them enjoy what they want while they still can.

At that stage it is more about making them as comfortable as possible rather than trying to delay the inevitable for a few more days or weeks.

I don't think McDonald's is the reason she is sick. Cancer treatments get more advanced every day I hope she gets better.
i remember when my dad was getting his treatments the doctors told us to give him whatever he will eat..it didn't matter how unhealthy. but that was his case. i saw him suffer miserably.

I know this scene very well. I took care my of mother (she had MS) and my uncle ( he had Parkinson's) and I had to watch them both die of slow painful death.

Its hard being a their loved one and being their care taker at the same time. It tears you apart on the inside and you have to show that your strong on the outside

I am sorry to hear this. 💔😥😥😥 At this point just eating is huge. Let her have whatever she wants.
