I think maybe sometimes it’s so fast and the pain so intense that it extinguishes everything immediately

then there are slow painful deaths (from illness)

And I guess the slowest death of all is living until an old age… living can be painful at times, but it can also be beautiful

I don't often think about it but i guess if it was fast enough it may well be painless

People often die in their sleep; I don't see how that would be painful at all.

Perhaps for the survivors, yes.

Not always, even when violent…u lose consciousness and die.
