My last few hours with pippy feel wasted now

You did the best you could in such a stressful situation. Don't be so hard on yourself, Pippy would hate to see you do that to yourself. She wants you happy, she's safe now and pain free. She's in your heart forever

It would be impossible to hold someone in life as you would want to when they're gone. That does not mean that you wasted any opportunity. Loving, in life, is often just being with. No particular thoughts of how precious they are or how much they mean to you, just being with. The depth of your love are not in question, they never were.
