Daniel Dennett passed away

Daniel Dennett died today 4/19/24. He had a PhD and was a philosopher was a writer and an acadmic . He was Professor Emeritus at Tufts University

The American Philosophical Assoc wrote in regards to his passing:

The APA is saddened to note the passing of Professor Daniel C. Dennett (March 28, 1942 – April 19, 2024). Dennett served as president of the Eastern Division in 2000–2001. He was professor emeritus of philosophy at Tufts University, where he had been on the faculty since 1971. He earned his D.Phil. in philosophy from the University of Oxford in 1965, and had also been a faculty member at the University of California, Irvine (1965–1971) and a visiting professor at Harvard University, the University of Pittsburgh, the University of Oxford, the École Normale Supérieure in Paris, the London School of Economics, and the American University of Beirut.

While he is such a well read person. In his next life he has to start again with ABCDs and twinkle twinkle little star etc. as a child of 4 years in his next janma ( subject to he being born as a human again)

@robertsnj may be he may not have believed after life but life after death is certain the soul(athma in our religion) cannot be destroyed nor created. It exists for ever in some form or other. It only transforms it's cage ie. It's body.
Further it cannot be burnt by fire, nor it can be made wet by water, this is all enunciated in Bagavath githa by lord Krishna to Aruna after the big battle of kurukshtra.
Most of the westerners do not believe this but it is eternal truth.
