For my dad’s visitation? Should I bring my kids?

My daughter is 7, my son is 1. I’m thinking about getting a sitter for my youngest but what about for my daughter? My son never met him, my daughter has a handful of times… He wasn’t a very good dad, but I am staying at the funeral home from 1 until 8 tomorrow. I think on Tuesday, I will for sure get a sitter for both of the kids … but what about for the viewing?????? Idk what to do.

you could make a case for it either way

you could say death is a part of life and happens to everybody sooner or later. and when it happens, family sticks together - it's okay to see people sad. if it's like the visitations I've been to it's been as much about the ones surviving the death.

then again - you could say that the one year old is going to require a lot of attention and 7 hours is a long time to keep them entertained and they may have a routine that will be disturbed.

either choice is the right one.

Is he the reason you are in the punishment groups?

@itscamila Why are you in those groups then, Ma'am?
itscamila · 26-30, F
@MissyChrissy I was punished like that as a child. I am now an adult??? & my dad never punished me- he was an absent father & I was raised by my mother.

@itscamila So your mom was strict with you? My dad is strict.
We can talk about in private if you answer my private messages, Ma'am

Well it is a way to explain death and life cycle. But depends on the maturity
