I Had a Near Death Experience

Does being with someone when they died count as near death experience? I was with my mom when she died, and that's as near death as I ever hope to come, until I die, myself. It was the saddest I've ever been.

Technically you were near death. You were a very short distance from it. But it's not a near death experience because you weren't near [i]your[/i] death. Sorry to hear about your mom, though. :(

No. it doesn't count. I'm sorry about your mom. But glad for her and you too. She had you at the end. And you have the comfort of knowing you were there for her.

@Unlearn: no I havent. Someday I will. All I can say is it was calm comforting and looking back a great thing for me. I can't say everyone has the same eperience though.
