That’s what I keep coming back to. As horrible as that experience was, the state can give him back his freedom and possibly some financial redress. They would [b]not[/b] have been able to give him back his life, had they executed him and been wrong.

In the U.S., we [b]know[/b] we’ve executed innocent people. DNA exonerations have [b]proven[/b] it. You’re so right, that the system [b]isn’t[/b] perfect. So no possibly innocent lives should be risked.
