Acts of courage
The thing about courage is that I'm not immune from feeling fear. It is facing those fears that gives me courage, and it doesn't mean I'm going to face those fears every time. Sometimes the risk isn't worth the reward, like getting into a political debate with my family. I could have the same results arguing with a rock.
But all that aside, there are many times I have been challenged in life, backed into a corner, and fought my way out of it. Being able to be who I want to be in life takes courage. Standing up to something wrong, even when it goes against the masses, takes courage. It doesn't always have to look like some grand battle, and it definitely doesn't look like confidence that is unwavering.
There have been quite a few times I was so scared I was white in the face, but I got through it.
