Confess your sins
When i was like 5 years old we went shopping with my mom and while she was picking shoes i stayed in a child care playground. There were many toys and one especially cool looking little dino toy.
Fast forward to when we are in the car - thats when my acting skills took the stage.
"Mom whats this in my pocket? I dont know. Ohh its a dino toy. It must have accidentally fallen into it."
In that moment, I might have fooled my mom, but I couldn't deceive my own conscience. At the tender age of five, I had committed two grave sins - I had stolen a toy, and worse, I had lied to my beloved mother.
I still worry to this day. What if someone knocks on my door looking for that long lost dino. The truth is, I can't even know where that toy is now, lost in the sands of time. The burden of guilt still keeps me up at night.
