I disowned a former friend of mine for the poor choices she made and I’m not sorry for it.

This one girl I looked up too (let’s call her Sarah, I’ve known her since I was a kid. I looked up to her, sort of a voice of reason and always there for us when we are down like we’re there for her but she did some horrible things. Sarah shoplifted because she wanted those beautiful earrings and she had to do community service for a couple weeks. She was 12 or 13.

I was shocked and disappointed and refused to speak to her for a while. Also time she made a bet with her siblings and her frenemy (let’s call her Angie) stayed at her house for a week. They made her live a living hell.
Angie got hurt after slipping off the table and Sarah didn’t even care if she got hurt. She thought she deserved it after the horrible things she did to her and is in the past.
Her parents called her and her siblings out big time and very disappointed because they’ll usually are well behaved.
Fast forward to eight years later. My late dad and her parents reconnect last year three months before he died. She tried to reconnect but I refuse to have anything to do with her. I thought she was the kind of person that I can look up to and do no wrong. I’m glad she’s doing better for her so and going to college but I’m still upset about what she did in the past. People you look up too aren’t supposed to screw up!
