I just saw this statement posted on EP.....PM me if you want the identity of the poster.

"If you loved the killings at Sandy Hook Elementary, you love feminism and single mother families. You love children raised without the love and guidance of their fathers. You love the failure and destruction of families and children."

It is my understanding that the shooter didn't want a relationship with the dad anymore and the father didn't push it. I don't think it's so much lack of a two-parent household as it is his mental issues. Maybe "lack of father figure" is in the periphery, but does not take center stage.

He was a wackadoo, period. Having/not having a father isn't going to change that.
