does she really have it bad?
my childhood friend Sofia has always been a very...interesting person that I have in my life. Since I can remember we have always fought, every time I went to her house we always argued about something. Her getting the doll I wanted, not having the role I wanted while we played "house." So me and her do have history and one thing I never understood about her while growing up, she always said she had it worse than me but the thing is, she was allowed to tap back to her parents- no not talk yell back at her parents and they would just talk to her calmly and let her slam doors! I was always so shocked whenever she did that and so scared for her because I always thought she would get beat but she never did.
This year she is in ninth grade while I am still in middle school and we were, you guessed it, having a small argument. I say small because we have some what matured from our past and I would like to think, we don't have to argue passively as we did back then. The argument was about why she had it worse than me. Yea. She told me its because she is in high school and that I haven't experienced nothing at all! but what she doesn't know is that I have always gotten bullied since 4th grade, have an alcoholic, barely a father figure, dad! and a narcissistic, manipulative mother who, to this day makes my life hell! its so bad that forgive me for what im about to say, I pray she gets hurt or doesn't come home at all when she's out somewhere, the abuse is just that bad and school just piles on top of that. Sofia's excuse every time is just high school nothing about her child hood, which I was in 90% of the time! plus, even her entire family knows me and calls me her cousin at this point!
so really, does she have it "worse than me?"
