I Am Trying To Accept The Things I Cannot Change

The struggle is real and A little unfair... I know life is unfair and I get that, but why can't it change when you worked so hard to change it? At some point you know and the people that are close to you know you have tried you everything and now its up to the universe, a higher power, a divine intervention to make the jump. You go through so many thoughts and emotions. I am really doing everything that I can be doing? Come on mind lets think of creative ideas to change things. What wrong with me? There must be something wrong with me! I must not be good enough! How do I come good enough? What does that person have that I don't? What makes them so special over me? I know everyone don't walk the same path and I know everything is not met to be understood, but I feel like I am missing out on life. Sometimes its so close I can taste it, but it slips through my fingers. I just need that little extra something, that push to make it be.

Your words sound familiar to me, your frustration is palpable and understandably so. At one point in my life I was where you are, feeling like an observer instead of a participant in life. You say that all you need is that "extra little something, that push to make it be". You couldn't be more right and this is exactly where I put my energy to bring about positive change. After taking a hard look at myself, I realized something that should have been obvious to me. I was going for the "big prize" instead of following an achievable plan to get there. It made complete sense and allowed me to create a method of attack. All I needed was that "one little push" and I knew it would have to come from within once more and not outside forces. Have you identified a starting point? What do you feel is the first change that needs to take place?

@labsrock: Thank you for understanding. I am doing everything I should be doing at this point. Unless there some creative idea I have not thought about or others have not. Its to point my family and friends don't even know what advice to give to me because they say I am doing everything right.

There must be something that you are overlooking. As someone who has been where you are, I want to see if can help you identify this. What is the first change that you want to make?

The other issues that this applys too but the number one issue is getting A full time job I can do. Its been over a year since I have been employed. I went to college have a bachelors degree, working with goverentment agency, temp agency, doing tons of interenship just to keep up on work experience , working with a career coach. The whole 9 yards.

Ok, good. This is where we should focus. What is your degree in, if I may ask? Are you looking for a career in that field exclusively?

I also have cerebral palsy on the right side, which could be a factor
labsrock · M
I don't think that would be a factor, unless you are allowing it to be. Have your efforts been solely focused in finding something in either field?

no

Ok. Well, both Marketing and HR require good people skills. Have you considered sales at all?
