I used to think the worst thing in life was to end up all alone

It’s not. The worst thing in life is ending up with people who make you feel all alone. - Bobcat Goldthwait

I lost over 30lbs of body fat between the second week of September and the third week of December and the only person that noticed, was a coworker. My family still doesn’t realize my clothes don’t fit anymore.

I only get my hair cut every few months, but I still get the same high and tight I did in the military. So I go from unkempt hobo, to spick and span soldier. It was two nights before my wife realized I got a haircut.

Tis the Year Of The Dove - forgive, forget, love unconditionally

It is possible I’m being overly sensitive

Congratulations on your weight loss. 🥳🥳🥳 Your family sees you daily. You lost the weight gradually so sadly they didn't notice. Maybe consider being forthright and asking if anyone noticed your weight loss. 🤷‍♂

@Musicman you’re probably right. That and I wear more clothes in the winter. I am giving them a pass. We’re all super busy. It’s how life is, I suppose

@TransientTinkerer Sadly it is. Bring it up and say something. 🙂

@Musicman I may! But I won’t make it confrontational. Just point out that I can’t wear any of my pants without a belt anymore

@TransientTinkerer After 30 pounds maybe say that after losing 30 pounds over the last few months you need to go clothes shopping for some smaller clothes. Then be quiet and see what they have to say. Nothing confrontational there.

@Musicman you’re definitely on to something there

@TransientTinkerer Whatever you do let us know how it goes. 🙂 And congratulations again on your weight loss. 🙂🙂🙂

@Musicman absolutely! I don’t really have anywhere else to vent.

And thank you

@TransientTinkerer You are more than welcome. 😊 I have lost 11 pounds over the last couple of months. If I would get more serious about dieting I could lose a lot more weight.

@Musicman I’ve been using the Cronometer App to log my food. It’s the best thing I’ve found so far. You can just scan barcodes

@TransientTinkerer I have been using Weight Watchers. The problem is I cheat on my diet. ☹

@Musicman I call that “Saturday”. I still log my calories and macros, but I don’t beat myself up for indulging a little

@TransientTinkerer I weigh in on Wednesday mornings. Sadly I cheat Wednesday through Friday. 😥😥😥

@TransientTinkerer That definitely works. How are your numbers looking? I am pre diabetic. I take Ozempic and Metformin. Between the two they keep my A1C, blood sugar, number in line. 🙂

@Musicman Great as of right now. Lab work looks great. I could raise my hdl a little, but it’s good right now

I’ve been in hypertension for months. I thought it was beer, but just found out it’s sodium. I’m way high. I’ve been taking a lot of sports supplements, which are made for rehydration. So a ton of sodium. I’m shaving that a little at a time and my bp is coming down accordingly.

@TransientTinkerer That's great that you realized the problem and are correcting the mistake. It's great reducing your sodium level and reducing your blood pressure. 🙂🙂🙂
