Most people rely on external forces to change things. But when you're standing at the edge of a cliff, surrounded by total darkness, you realize...

...that all you really have is yourself.
With your brokenness and hopelessness and helplessness, what else have you got but you?
This is painful to read when you're at this stage.
But if you still have people you want to love and be there for, then you're blessed. Because you have an excuse to stop making excuses.

A person with enough reason will have enough will and even go beyond current capability. With love encompassing, there is no limit to the effort and time you would put.
And one day, one day, if you keep at it, you would see for yourself where you'll end up.
Only if you do not stop.

Life is for those of us who dares. Dare to do it broken, hurt and unhealed. And along the way, we find things we would never know if we didn't go through those negative things.

The breaking and the unbreaking -- nobody warns you about these things. And it is not the same for two people.

But who survives and who one becomes after? Tell me yourself when you're there.

I'm not sure if we're ever "there", perhaps that's okay.
We are learning with every lesson we become stronger it might not be lessons we wanted to learn and could maybe done without ,but it doesn't change anything does it?
I wrote something similar to this on my Facebook page.
It's taking me a real long time to learn the lesson you do all you can do first and you don't sit around waiting for someone to rescue you, because sometimes nobody's coming.

@Justmeraeagain Yeah. That's admittedly a painful truth to swallow, especially when you're used to having someone back you up. In my case, my dad.

But our stories, told from our perspective after the unbreaking, perhaps it could be of help to someone else. Maybe it can become someone else's tips or survival guide to getting through the rough parts of life.

"There" is something I just realized one day. One day, it won't be difficult to breathe. One day, your mind will be filled with more light things than heavy. "There" is not where you think you would be. But "there" is where you see that "Oh. I am still alive. And I'm still fighting. And I'm still going somewhere."
And "there" is where we see and start to reason, that maybe that is enough. And maybe it's what the other adults realize too.

Life isn't a fairytale. But it can be what we make it.

And the first step to getting "there" is making that brave decision to fight anyway, even broken and at our lowest. Because only we can take that step for ourselves.

I had my husband,my best friend, now I am ony own.
I can't say I haven't had anybody help me, I have as I think back .
Some of it I haven't even asked for.
But in most situations we have to rely on ourselves and maybe that's the way it's supposed to be.

Day by day is probably the best way.
Not being too hard on ourselves and allowing ourselves to fail.
We are sometimes kinder to other people than ourselves.
