But it's just a part reality too that at some point, people would realize we all are free to accept what we want to accept. Even well intentions may not be well accepted. Some "kindness" can kill or may not be desired. So in giving and in accepting, we all need wisdom. Respecting each other's preference helps keep things calm. It's a biased opinion to think that all sorts of kindness is really seen as such. People won't always accept what you have to give. And in truth, to retort as such, do say something.
