The Thing About The Neighbor’s Dogs That Yap A Lot Is That the Noise Seems to Travel Down The Chimney & I Sit Close To The Fireplace….

It’s in the low 50’s and the dogs got put outside and have been yapping non-stop for over a half hour now. Even Boo-Boo starts fussing after a while. One time when he was in the sun room and the windows were open those dogs started up and he quickly said “Shut up”…not a good noise for birds to hear either.
Incessantly yapping dogs can be most annoying. My next door neighbor recently put in a fence around her back yard. She told me it was because she works from home and the dog drives her crazy with his barking. That and the new people across the way with the super loud dog are going to make it challenging for me working from home when it warms up and I want the windows open.

@BrewCityBarfly the man will sic that dog on squirrels, they are in trees and can’t climb trees but it makes them bark more, he acts like is proud of doing that. And sometimes the wife comes out and tells them to shut up, she is fed up with it. All the neighbors around that home have to put up with it. Sometimes they let them outside at 1 or so in the morning to use the bathroom and leave them outside for a half-hour yapping. Like no neighbor needs to sleep.
@cherokeepatti I feel for you. If I had to list the bane of home ownership over the years, barking dogs would be #1.

@BrewCityBarfly I like to walk around the neighborhood and it disturbs the peace when a dog starts barking and snapping and snarling even through a fence where they can’t get me. I just hate it, and I’m walking in the street to avoid them instead of the sidewalk. It’ll happen several times during a good walk around here.
