Accepting of Fate
Another Untitled Rhyme
by: Rob Paquin
Destined to fail
With a heart wrenching wail
Closing his heart to that sound
Of all of those voices
That sing out rejoices
Still no one was there when he drowned
The words to uplift him
Are words he's adrift in
Caught like a ship in a storm
Without any meaning
With his deadened eyes gleaming
Dreams are just nightmares transformed
Black thoughts that you've given
In his mind they're still living
The loneliness never subsides
So just take what you need
As his opened veins bleed
And laugh as the Nothing presides
So just leave him for dead
And leave all the kind words unsaid
Smile as he falls from the skies
Don't look back evermore
As he writhes on the floor
Don't acknowledge the pain in his cries
It's just how it goes
And he should already know
That it's only ever his fault
Accepting his fate
In this hour so late
Wide awake in his burial vault
