I'm not surprised. This is how they maintain a climate of fear. The state is divided pretty evenly between Democrats and Republicans, but because Democrats are concentrated in the cities (especially Atlanta), it's easy for them to be gerrymandered into irrelevance.
One bright spot is Marjorie Taylor Greene is trying to decide if she wants to run for Senate or Governor, so depending on her choice, either Stacey Abrams will be governor or Jon Ossoff will win a second term.
