To you, is abortion an option in case of an unwanted accidental pregnancy?

A woman having an abortion isn’t as easy of a decision as people think sometimes. Violent crimes against them, a dying child or unviable in utero, risk of their life, poverty, abusive partner. Many things factor into the decision and none of them are easy. A woman owns her body and has the right to make the choice as to what to do with it. People still believe a woman magically becomes pregnant on her own and decisions must be made for her. They continue to blame a woman for a decision that would never be questioned if a man had to make it.

@Pinkstarburst nobody believes a women magically gets pregnant on her own. Women just strip the fathers of all rights till that child is born and suddenly the father is fully accountable for that life.
You can not act as though women have it so hard and men have it so easy when its women holding all the cards here
@Torsten We are both speaking extreme cases. However, surely you realize, even in the present, women are murdered by their husbands for becoming pregnant or just having a daughter??? All women are not as wicked as men and visa versa.

@Pinkstarburst yes you are speaking on the extreme cases that does not determine the normal here. yes some women, i am sure go through that and thats horrible.
But again the rare and extreme cases should not be discussed as if they are the majority of cases and for the majority of abortions, it was done due to carelessness.

Women for the most part, support stripping men of all rights when it comes to their unborn children. So with that in mind, women can not play that men have it easy card, because i will argue that losing all rights and say over if your child lives or dies, is one of the worst things a person could experience
@Torsten Women are also losing their rights to decide. I believe I stated that we are both speaking of extremes. And both extremes are the worst experience a person can have.

@Pinkstarburst im going to say something and you're really not going to like it but as they should lose those rights when it comes to most cases. Unless it was a forced upon pregnancy (rape which is extremely rare) or the mothers heath is at real risk or as @nedkelly pointed out another scenario that i never thought to think of before (my fault).
@Torsten It’s your belief and I have no right to take that from you.
@Pinkstarburst Your original comment comprises of less than 5% of all abortions done, the other 95+% are for on demand birth control. After Roe v. Wade was recently kicked back to the states, a video of a woman bragging during a protest that she deliberately gets pregnant just to abort them, wearing a shirt with her abortion count at 28, it went viral around social media. That would be tantamount so a serial killer bragging about how many they killed. Yes, it is your body, but what about the baby your carrying, an abortion butchers theirs, in a most painful way as they're cut up, or burned with a caustic saline solution. How about you do some research on what is done during an abortion.
@NativePortlander1970 I stand behind my comment. I have sat beside a friend who had to terminate her pregnancy. Why don’t you put yourself in a woman’s shoes before relying on statistics.

@Pinkstarburst Put yourself in the unborn baby's spot, feeling unbearable agonizing pain as it's being burned and cut apart before its butchered death.
@NativePortlander1970 Put a baby in your uterus and be told it will live for only hours after birth and if it dies in your body so can you. OH WAIT!!! You don’t have one of those do you?
@Pinkstarburst That is entirely different than the over 95+% of the women who uses abortion as on demand birth control.
@NativePortlander1970 Again, walk in a woman’s shoes before you spout statistics.

We will not agree on this.

Women are also losing their rights to decide.

A lot of groups are losing their rights. Of course when it is immigrants, no one seems to care. Or LGBT, it's okay because lawmakers are "protecting the children". Maybe the same reason they want to outlaw abortion. "The powers" already know they can revoke rights in a heartbeat.

Yeah there are rare cases when pregnancy was involuntary OR it would result in mortality.
But we all know that most abortions happen (at least in the free world) because someone was careless in the bedroom.

My opinion on abortion - People should be allowed to have them if they want. It is them who have to live with their choice. We all know it is wrong to abort. Some people are just better at BS'ing themselves.
@Torsten Since the fetus isn’t inside the father’s body, the only “rights” he should have are the ones the mother gives him. If that doesn’t work for you, I can think of a few dialysis patients who would love to have one of your kidneys.

@Pinkstarburst Honestly your original comment was the best one.
