@OggggO Dude, to begin with, Bill's original draft was filed earlier this year. Any stupid lawmaker can propose a bill. Unfortunately, many American legislators are idiots - Americans vote for idiots. That's why we have hearings and debates and inputs from the medical community before these bills are passed. @LeopoldBloom Obviously, if the woman's life is in jeopardy that will be a decision between her, her doctor and possibly the baby's father. Ultimately, it will be her decision in that case. But murdering an innocent baby because she doesn't want the responsibility is another story.

@RocktheHouse It's not a "baby" until it's born. It's a ZEF (zygote, embryo, or fetus). Stop using terms just for their emotional effect. Same with "murder." "Murder" is killing in violation of the law. Many states that have outlawed abortion have a specific exemption for the mother. A woman could literally give herself an abortion in a police station in those states and nothing would happen to her. This proves that so-called "pro-lifers" view the ZEF as different from a "baby." If you kill a baby that's already born, you will go to prison in every state in America.

If not wanting to be responsible was the only issue, then no one would have an abortion; they'd just drop the newborn off at the fire station and walk away. What women who have abortions don't want is to be forced to gestate an unwanted ZEF and endure the risk of death or permanent damage from giving birth to it.

If you're so pro-life, have you donated one of your kidneys to a dialysis patient? If not, and someone needs it, can they just take it? Why are you being selfish and hanging on to your kidney when you will be just fine with one? Is your convenience worth more than a sick person's life? You're a hypocrite.

@LeopoldBloom Sounds like the same argument they used to justify enslaving blacks. They're not human. Dehumanize the baby to justify killing it. Murder is murder. It is a living, heart beating fetus. 22 week premature babies have survived outside of their mother's womb. Maybe those premature babies should die too because according to you; it's not yet a baby until it's at full term.

@OggggO We are not talking about America; These are individual states. States have a degree of sovereignty. Sorry, that's been argued in the SCOTUS.

@RocktheHouse Actually, the modern pro-life movement developed out of the segregation movement. Pro-lifers are the heirs of the slave owners. Pro life dismisses women as not being entirely human just as their predecessors dismissed Black people.
