What's wrong with being the victim?

Why do people victim blame, why do they add insult to injury, why do they say oh you're playing the victim, like it's shameful to be a victim. People get upset and try to prove to you that you are not the victim.

People pretend to be victims when they're not. It's an emotional ploy. And yes, it's shameful. It's a tool for the mentally weak.
