As long as it doesn't promote violence. The problem with quieting ones we disagree with is....how will you know who you disagree with if they can't speak?

@FreeSpirit1: 1984, a great thought provoking but very boring and at the end downright violent book. Probably one of the inspirations for the MKUltra program. This booked was banned in the US in the sixties during the Cuban missile crisis.
Good book. Meant to tell the story of how a totalitarian regime could brainwash and control its populace by torture, electrocution and tv.
My point is however to mention, in light of such a book. Is the problem with quieting ones we disagree with, or that humanity is weak and easily controlled?
I'm just tryna say, free speech being about who you don't agree and will probably argue with. Is a very petty way to view the issue.
