Why is it that Everytime I say out loud I don't want kids. I get the look of disgust or the pity look. Like I'm a broken person for not wanting them..is it me or does this happen to anyone else?

There is flack from both sides. You also have very high and might "child free" folks who run around guilting anyone who has children. There are people with load and obnoxious opinions at both ends. I think with those who don't understand not wanting kids there is at least part of it that is biological programing. Every living organism is designed to procreate.
