How do you deal with inferiority?

I have two parents and three older siblings. My parents both have PhDs, and my siblings are certified geniuses. People also call me a "genius," but I'm the runt who always falls short of his siblings. How do you deal with people being better than you?

Someone's always going to be more intelligent than us, better looking than us, maybe more successful than us. But no one can be us. We are each unique. So be the best You, you can be.

Being academic does not make anyone better than you. I mean look at politicians for example. Some really smart academics among them yet most are horrible as people and literally are deluded enough to think they are above you lol.

@Perry4444: That reverts to the adage "It's not what you know, it's who you know." Many politicians have great social skills, so they can express their limited knowledge with the maximum effect. In a way, social skills are more important than knowledge when obtaining power. Scientists and doctors cannot succeed without being "academic." Professions that actually benefit the world require a great understanding of the subjects taught in schools.

it's up to you to get over that insecurity...there is no other way.

@Fernie: How would you "get over" the insecurity? Simply avoid the thought? Work harder to consider yourself equal?

@MaybeTooNarcissistic: Your insecurity is your problem...no one is better than you because they have degrees..the way I think of PHD's...that person knows a lot about one thing...it does not mean they are all knowing. You are at a difficult age for one thing...like it or not...folks your age almost always feel inferior in the world...you don't have a place in it yet. Tons of people "get over" their insecurities. Stop giving up your power to other people, thinking they are better than you are. No one is better than you...once you begin to believe that...your insecurities dissipate. I am 300 years old sweetie...trust me.

I know the feel because I grew up with more comparisions than most kids. The one thing I will tell you is that, think of everyone as statistics. They all have their own strengths and weaknesses.
It's not possible for you to have no talent. So recognize your talent and excel at it. That is enough to shut them up. Even if your talent is making shoes, make it like Jimmy Choo (my mum always said this to me 😂)

YOu shouldn't let them get in your way, just do what you like and you'll be fine,it may seem like you have something to prove but you really dont.
