Go get checked, it probably just usual accident soreness but regardless. . you can file it with whoever was at fault and ticketed insurance company and they will pay it

Picklebobble2 · 56-60, M
You really should go to the ER !
Things happen to the body after a shock like that.
What you think of as aches and pains may turn out to be warning signs of further trouble.

@Picklebobble2: thats true, i've worked enough accidents
@Picklebobble2: Thank you both.

Tell the doctor that your neck and back hurt tremendously and you can't sleep or perform normal everyday activities.

ibuprofen if likely the best start; if you have the gear for it a hot bath (although make sure you have someone to help you out, possibly in - you may be too sore to do that on your own. baring that, a heating pad or hot water bottle.
@DeadCowboy: Unfortunately, I dont have anyone to help me, so I'll play it safe and move extra slowly. Thanks.

@DreamyCrush: or stick to the heating pad. it's not quite as good, but it should help.

@dumpstermeow: Good idea as well
mrmoose · 70-79, M
go to er, get checked, and they'll have meds for you
yeronlyman · 51-55, M
Just meds and medical checkup
Use some heat if that helps and stay active and ride out the storm
Often will be sore for a few weeks and many people get better

I would look up stretches for sore muscles. I hurt my neck while exercising the other day, Googled some stretches, and they really helped with the pain.

Ibuprofen is a good choice. I got rear ended a few times a year when I was driving a cab.
LadyBronte · 56-60, F
Unfortunately you're going to be sore. Ibuprofen. Warm soaking bath. Epsom salts if you've got 'em. Good luck.
@LadyBronte: Thank you.

I would have gone to A & E by now you could need strong painkillers and checked over for possible fracture, strain/whiplash.
ineedadrink · 51-55, M
What did the doc say? Chiropractor & aspirin or something stronger?
@ineedadrink: He poked, squeezed, and twisted, and scheduled me for x-rays. He prescribed Flexeril and Naproxen. Said if I'm not better by Monday to come back. The drugs are good, but the soreness remains.

Thanks for asking :)
ineedadrink · 51-55, M
I had a mild one over the winter, luckily the aspirin & quack did the trick for me.
