Started my day with a car accident...

I was rear-ended while sitting in traffic, at a stoplight, sandwiched between a van and a pick-up truck. My back and shoulders are so sore. Any suggestions for dealing with the soreness when all I have is ibuprofen? [I'm seeing a doctor tomorrow.]

You really should go to the ER !
Things happen to the body after a shock like that.
What you think of as aches and pains may turn out to be warning signs of further trouble.
