Sure...but we all take different paths in our lives because of various circumstances. Maybe that person you envy, envies you too. 😉
True

I doubt it. I don't know. Maybe some people envy that I have a house. But I feel it is overrated. It would have been way smarter for me to have a rental where I could easily put $500 a month away in a Roth or savings. After 30 years I think that would be about the same as I would make in the house. And without kids, that would be way more money. While he gets to go to Coachella and as he said, get weird in the desert. I always wanted to go get weird. But I didn't assert myself.

@hideout: you are doing way better than a lot of people. I envy you!

Can't do anything on the weekend. And have a sexless marriage. Don't.

@hideout: well that lets me know more is going on than just envy. You're still a young man and can change things.

@hideout: Good reason to stay for them if it makes the family unit a solid and happy one.

Not a happy one. Two people pretending for there sake and the outside world.

@hideout: well you do have options. better the kids live with divorced but happier parents, than a home filled with resentment, sadness and tension. there's no reason to pretend in this day and age.

Don't think I would be happier. Her eaither. Now two bitter people stressing about how to get things done without the support of a partner.
