Ever have one of those days that crotch punches you then hands you a nice flower?

Early this morning I rushed to the hospital to be with a beloved friend who fell into a coma and is not expected to live. I held his hand, spoke to him and kissed his coconut head. Came home after a few hours, went to sleep, woke up to be informed I have won an award for poetry. Nice and all, but I keep picturing my friend with a machine breathing for him, his chest rising and falling with great force. Horrible. He might pull through, but they are not overly optimistic.

Oh no?! 😞How is he now?! I just recently lost two cousins just days apart, we were all in shock because they were young and left small kids behind. Sending healing prayers for your friend👼with extra swirls of green for healing.🍃 That's great you won that award for your poetry, don't feel guilty for being glad and taking pride in that, I'm sure that no matter what your friend would want you to feel that happiness❣🤗🏆

Thank you sugah. No change in his condition. He could be in a coma for a long time.

It is awful about your cousins. My friend David is only 38. Has no kids, but his brother and sister are there for him. I am unwelcomed by them because of a falling out David and I had over a woman about a decade ago, but I went to see him in the middle of the night. Said my goodbyes.

@DanielChristensen: No one can heal when old hurts and mistakes are held on to, I'm sorry and that should between you and him anyway?!🤔 My one cousin was also 38 and the second one had just turned 40 years old not even 2 weeks before she died.💔You are lucky you could see him, my family is in NC.
