Did this trigger you? I'm not assuming this is true for anyone... I am asking if it is. In my own experience growing up with a fundamentalist pastor, I had to untangle and deconstruct some of this rigid thinking in my own life. My basis is my own life. Was listening to a podcast about a guy named Richard Rohr who was talking about this exact thing permeating modern church culture. So that was my context.
