To decide to allow my wife to die
Boeing · 36-40
@BrokenLake1513 tough one
@Boeing Yes

Getting my ex husband to leave, eventually after what seemed like 9000 years

Yup that's the second hardest thing I ever had to do, the hardest thing I have not been able to do as yet
Boeing · 36-40
@AbsolutelyFabulous I'm sorry it couldn't happen more easily.. but it is done now. phew
@Boeing thank you
SageWanderer · 70-79, M
Getting a divorce knowing my son would be stuck with a narcissist until he could say he wanted to live with me. I just knew staying in that relationship was going to destroy both of us.
Jenny1234 · 56-60, F
Putting my dog down.
Boeing · 36-40
@Jenny1234 that is so hard yes..
Lostpoet · M
Leave my family
Boeing · 36-40
@Lostpoet your parental or one you created?
Lostpoet · M
@Boeing parental. I don't have any kids.
Boeing · 36-40
@Lostpoet I think it is healthy to leave one's family at one point in life...but not too early.
Always there are many factors..
thepeculiarpanda · 36-40, M
The decision to end my five-year relationship and move back to the U.S. when I was 20.
Boeing · 36-40
@thepeculiarpanda Oh wow, you already had a 5 year relationship at 20 years of age...!
thepeculiarpanda · 36-40, M
@Boeing We started dating when we were 15 and I ended up having to move six months later. We ended up doing three and a half years of long distance and then I went back to Canada for a year of college.

We had both changed a lot without realizing it and it fell apart really quickly. I finished that year of school and then moved home. Haven't talked to her since 2011.

Leave my family
JeromeGarxia · 18-21, M
@Boeing in Elkhart
Boeing · 36-40
@JeromeGarxia where's that?
JeromeGarxia · 18-21, M
@Boeing Indiana
Leaving. Starting off again on my own when i was told i would fail without him
Boeing · 36-40
@Bexsy but you learnt to fly.... <3
@Boeing so very true🫂
MrSmartyPants · 46-50, M
Coming back to SW for the 700th time .....:)
MrSmartyPants · 46-50, M
@Boeing Interesting, i'm a Taurus, but astronomy and astrology I get them mixed in my head are things I don't get into much. It's to me like science experiments, I feel like I can never make my own experiments to have my own takeaways as to the veracity of it's claims.
Boeing · 36-40
@MrSmartyPants it takes some time until you learn to connect the dots but once you do, it is an interesting creative puzzle
MrSmartyPants · 46-50, M
@Boeing I like the idea of things making sense that don't immediately do so, like challenging modern novels, and the connection to the new age movement has for me an enticement .....:)
Dwindling job security, and a crippled industry, had me (and many colleagues) walk away from a life long dream.
Boeing · 36-40
@SethGreene531 ah that's always hard...... sorry to hear that,
@Boeing Thank you, I really appreciate that. Yeah, the unfortunate realites of our ever changing economy.
exexec · 70-79, C
Moving my family 800 miles away from everybody else we knew and loved.
Boeing · 36-40
@exexec sorry about that, but glad you got to move 🙏🏻
exexec · 70-79, C
@Boeing It worked out great for us, but it was a hard decision to make.

Whether to stop or try to go around an elderly woman walking on what’s considered a highway in Friday rush hour traffic. My gut said she was gonna be in the middle of my lane while someone was screaming at me to go that she wouldn’t. I would’ve killed her had I listened to that idiot. A truck carrying a trailer thought I was turning into the gas station seeing my brakes on and he slammed into me and I lost a baby in the second trimester from the hit. The woman had dementia and had left w/out anyone noticing.
@MellyMel22 you're so welcome 🥺😔
@MellyMel22 Faced with a difficult choice, you made the right one. I'm sorry it cost you dearly. 😞

@DancingStarGoddess I can somewhat understand that, I too flew somewhat early out the nest.. actually my life was falling apart, until I moved out - I too was in high school but guess my grades improved despite me having to work in the afternoons, after school.
@Boeing I wasn't leaving the nest necessarily, I was signing myself out of the foster care agency that I had been with. Which then took me out of the school district as well...my life was kind of already ruined well before that...

Bc I went to an alternative school at the time and slots in the school were purchased by the district, I no longer had funding to attend as well. The teachers and other staff collected the money to pay for the rest of my attendance on the grounds that I completed.

I did attend while staying various places and staying in a ghost position at the last district I attended school so when I graduated and did my senior project it was presented to them. And my diploma says their district even though I never went to a class in that building.
Boeing · 36-40
@DancingStarGoddess wow how beautiful of them to gather and pay for all that you needed! Angels were always there for you, if you allow me to say that.. and too allowing later the flexibility, so that you can ghost-attend and move forward. Impressive movement and turn of events!

the second hardest was buying a home and getting married in the same year not being 100% sure i could maintain both. the hardest decision was showing up to court knowing id do 10 yrs in prison.
Boeing · 36-40
@inked oh no - and what happened with the house and the wifey?
inked · 41-45, M
@Boeing 3 yrs going strong
CrazyMusicLover · 31-35
I can't think of any hard decision I had to make in my life.
Boeing · 36-40
@CrazyMusicLover that is a big decision for the turning of events in someone's life.. Are you satisfied with your choice, looking back? Would you change a thing?
CrazyMusicLover · 31-35
@Boeing No, I'm not. I wish I had picked a college abroad or at least in the capital city instead of staying in my home city. I also wish I picked something more craft-oriented than primarily theory-oriented. I wish I had been supervised by professionals with real experience in the field as opposed to just teachers who only worked in the university.
Boeing · 36-40
@CrazyMusicLover well you can only change what's forward - or so we've been told!
Kiesel · 56-60, M
Finally accepting the outcome
Boeing · 36-40
@Kiesel heartbreaking..
GoFish ·
idk if i ever had to make one 😐
Boeing · 36-40
@GoFish well, it is for you, not to compare with anyone else. Your own second difficult decision.
GoFish ·
@Boeing i cant remember anything. sigh
