Sometimes Life is like a domino effect. one thing happens, and it leads to another, setting everything else in motion.

Recently, I decided to go to an event completely out of the blue. It was one of those last minute, why not, I have nothing else to do kind of decisions.

While I was there, I met someone who invited me to their church on Saturday night because they were going to be preaching a sermon. From what I understood, this wasn’t something they normally did. Somehow, it just ended up falling into his lap. I didn’t really get into the details.

Saturday night came and again, at the last minute, I decided to go.

I got there late and there was absolutely no parking. I ended up driving 3 or 4 blocks through completely dark inner streets with no street lights. Finally, I found a spot and walked back to the church.

After church, I started walking back. Completely alone in these dark inner streets. When I got about half a block from my car, I noticed something moving slowly on the ground in front of me. Opened the flash light from my phone and saw a man on the ground on his back.

There was a puddle of blood underneath his head. He was barely conscious. Apparently he fell down. 63 year old man. called the paramedics and stayed there until they arrived.

And that was the part that got me thinking.

If I hadn't randomly decided to go to that event, I wouldn't have met that person. If I hadn't accepted the invitation to the church, I wouldn't have been there that night. If I hadn't decided at the last minute to actually go, I wouldn't have been walking down that street. If I hadn't been late, I may not have been walking past that exact spot at that exact moment.

I'm not a fan of coincidences.
