We don't really know each other, but I'm proud of you for quitting smoking and sticking to it. It will get harder before it gets easier, but it WILL get easier.
KiwiDan · 31-35, M
@Nightwings You can do it! :)
Nightwings · F
@KiwiDan I know because I did lol. People keep talking about this like it's some sort of continuous process and it confuses me. 🤭
KiwiDan · 31-35, M
@Nightwings People do that a lot

Nightwings · F
@InfoTunaBotTheReturn Yo so how are looking forward to quitting now? 💀👀

Also: omgomgomg you changed your name back to Tuna Bot and I just now noticed 'cause I tagged you! 🙀
@Nightwings It doesn't sound like fun 😐 I'm on very low nicotine though so hopefully that will make the transition a bit smoother. I still have a good amount of value juice left to consume but when I have about a week or two worth of juice left I'll stop nicotine altogether. The aim is to phase out the nicotine while still vaping, so it's one thing at a time.
Nightwings · F
@InfoTunaBotTheReturn You're gonna be totally fine if you only have very little nicotine already and are going to phase it out little by little for sure, that sounds like a great plan.

Hang in there, your junkie phase will pass.
Nightwings · F
@SpectralMourning Oh my lol, don't hurt! 😆 I am fine really, I was super sick for a couple days but it's already getting better! ^^
SpectralMourning · 46-50, M
@Nightwings Haha, good to hear, I was just empathizing. I remember my first couple weeks I just wanted to sleep so much to try to escape it. But life wouldn't let me.
Nightwings · F
@SpectralMourning Oh I've been having crazy issues sleeping lately so I hardly even get a break that way lol, and it's probably also why I got so sick. It's been going on for 2 months, and now my doctor finally got me a plan that might help, with magnesium and something else (haven't even read what yet). But honestly cravings now are not that bad, they were worst the first 3 days. The first 3 days were horrible in the sense that I couldn't think about anything else, but now I'm chill playing video games, drawing a bit, walking my dog a lot.
I'm exactly 15 days away from my 10th anniversary after 30 years of smoking.
So very happy for you, go on with your bad azz self! Proud of you!!!!

@dragonfly46 Thank you, and congratulations! {=
Well done for sticking with it. The experience will help you never want to go back to smoking (that's me looking for a bright side).
Nightwings · F
@NudasPriest Really, if I had any doubts before then this would 100% seal the deal. But I'm actually super excited to enter my non-smoker life now lol, looking forward to better sleep and not smelling like cigarettes to other people. 🍃

I smoked for 18 years. Cold turkey never worked for me. I cut down slowly before I finally succeeded. I was smoking a little over a pack a day. I limited it to exactly 1 pack for the first month. I reduced it by 2 cigarettes a day each month. So in 5 months I was smoking 10 cigarettes a day. Next I quit smoking before lunch. Then I cut it down to only smoking a few in the evening. Then one day I came down with a bad chest cold and never picked them up again.

Good luck.

I've never smoked so I can't speak from experience. But what's happening to you now will not physically harm you. It's your body pleading with you for something it doesn't need. This WILL pass.

Well done. Keep it up!

@SW-User Pancreatitis attacks are actually harmful, but this was hardly even a real attack, like it's real but it's mild. Other than that the dehydration is crazy, but yes the high pressure and all that is totally fine when it's only for a period of time, but I would not want to go through this if I was 20 years older. I think it could be dangerous to someone with heart disease too, so they should absolutely talk with their doctor about how to quit to be safe, especially if they share my crazy type of nervous system. 👀
