Day 8 of quitting smoking + Health Update! 🌻 ^.^
Guys I've been so sick! 😭 Quitting smoking is no joke, my blood pressure and heart rate is so high, I am cold and sweating 24/7, I got super dehydrated, then I got stomach issues which turned into a small pancreatitis attack (because I have a mild chronic pancrea disease already), and now my throat is super inflamed and ironically I currently breathe far worse than I ever did when I smoked... Oh, and the vertigo is back. Not constant spinning, but the sensation of the ground and everything around me moving whenever I move.
I smoked for 21 years, and I was a chain-smoker for 17 of those. I don't recommend quitting cold turkey like this because it's really hard on the body, way more than I thought it would be. Obviously it's going to differ from person to person, but if I had known then I would have tried a milder method first involving nicotine patches and other helpful things. This was crazy.
I've been to the organ specialist and my family doctor, and I'm going to be completely fine, no real harm done lol. My family doctor thinks it's all due to quitting smoking and said that withdrawals can take up to a month. Ah and I have not absorbed the iron as fast as they thought I would, so I'm going to take it for another two months and then come back for more tests, but it's no longer at a critical level. ^.^
I still enjoy standing in the window writing a post and checking replies even though I don't smoke anymore. SW used to be what I did in my smoking breaks, but now I just come and sip Pepsi Zero (for those who don't know, there's caffeine in it that's why), and write without smoking. I'm trying to trick my brain into believing that the caffeine is the cigarette, if that makes sense. 😆 Anyways I hope you're all doing better than me lol, thanks for being supportive. 🩷💕
