We found out my cousin passed yesterday
They didn't even find his body until weeks later.
He's a lot older but I remember my parents taking him in a few times whenever he'd get kicked out of his home. Went through a lot of abuse. He was an addict. On and off the streets his whole life, would often go missing and I guess his body finally caught up to the damage he put it through. This makes me sad. He truly deserved better.
There's been a lot of loss lately. It's an unsettling time. Losing people has its way of completely dismantling how time is viewed, it's forcing me to re-evaluate what actually matters. The subconscious habit of postponing happiness for "someday" makes me want to live more intentionally, not just for myself, but for the people around me
