Regardless of all the stressors (barriers) you stated, the common-denominator is you. However, the blame for your lack of academic achievement is likely driven more by cultural expectations than your academic aptitude. For example, China, Japan, Singapore, South Korea, and especially INDIA (engineering), for example, place an extremely high value on academic excellence and high intellectual achievement. Some measure such achievement as an indicator of self-worth and personal character, as everyone is expected to meet such high expectations (short of a medical or psychological detriment preventing). To not do so, culturally-speaking, is shameful and warrants mockery and condemnation--like you've undoubtedly received.

The traffic, covid, online studies, etc. aren't likely the problem. Oh, they exacerbate the problem, but they're not the cause. Nor are the cultural stigmas for an engineering student in India failing time after time to make the grade.

You likely just don't want to be an electrical engineer and desire more liberal-minded, less technical-minded (contrary to your Indian culture), endeavors. Of course, liberal arts studies in India is still a social stigma, perhaps not as bad as it once was.

It matters not how many millions of Indians have high academic achievement in engineering. Your brain isn't a failure; your brain is just wired for something that a technically-oriented mind is not...and couldn't comprehend, as you don't comprehend electrical engineering.

You just need to identify what it truly is, if you don't already know, then pursue it until you achieve. And when you do, the measure of your worth, your character, will not be measured by your academic achievement, but what you choose to do with it...and this is where MOST high achievers ultimately fail.

Because we expect adults to take accountability instead of blaming others. It's time to grow up, dude. This behaviour of yours is no longer cute or a phase you might be going through. It's time to toughen up and make things happen in the world the way it is, not the way you wish it could be.

Be accountable.
