So had these 2 interactions today which made me extremely curious about these topics. What do you feel about it?
So today in 1MG Lido mall of Trinity circle of our city Bangalore in India, i initiated a conversation with a woman who happened to be from Toronto, Canada. So she is a Canadian expat on business trip to Bangalore. She was kinda window shopping but still we had a decent interaction and i enjoyed it and she is mostly a beautiful woman in her late 20s to early 30s and I am 25 and wish it could be longer but I disengaged saying her have a great day and she also wished me best of luck especially as I mentioned about being done with my MBA. But one thing this interaction made me curious about is I wanna talk to an older Canadian person(man or woman) in his/her 40s or 50s. You must be wondering why right? That's because I wanna know how it was for them when they grew up seeing the singer Bryan Adams in his prime. Yeah I love his song "Run to You".
I know it's an 80s song and i wasn't even alive at the time but I heard the song for the first time in summer of 2014 when I was only 13 while playing GTA Vice City and this song is there in the Flash FM of the game. I remember feeling as if I was some cool sporty college dude even though I was only 13 haha. So yeah I still hear the song now as I love it as it makes me feel as if I am Bryan Adams in his prime and very charming especially as I am confidently talking to women now and Bryan was my age when he sang Run To You. So I would love to talk to an older Canadian person and wanna his/her experience hearing Bryan Adams for the first time when he dropped these classics and they were still super fresh. It would super interesting as an 25 year old dude who grew up in India. I know I can know it online as well but it's more fun to interact with a foreigner in person and knowing their experience and whether he was as popular as Justin Bieber was in the 2010s when I was a teenager. For me personally nowadays, face to face interactions are much more fun than chatting on apps.
So this another interaction I had was in Starbucks of Lavelle road where I greeted a much older Korean man who is likely a senior professional in his 50s. Yeah I have seen him across Lavelle Road but today I greeted him which to my surprise he answered very enthusiastically and quite loud spoken. He said Oh Hi. I said him I was just saying Hi to new people. I asked him which country he is from and he answered Korea. I didn't talk much as he seemed a bit busy so wished him a great day. But meeting him made me curious about one thing. He is likely in his 50s and nowadays Kpop and Kdramas are very popular globally including in India. Most people associate Kpop or Kdramas with younger Koreans but I am very curious to ask that older Korean man how Korea was when he was younger, how different the Korean music was during his time when he was my age and whether Kpop is more of a recent thing or it existed back then too and how popular was Korean music globally back then. I didn't ask all these today as he was busy but if I ever meet him again I would love to ask him that as he grew up and has lots of life experience and probably even saw Korea change a lot with time.
