I think when you start getting caught up in those types of thoughts you make it harder for yourself to heal. Cause like it's not like you can really do much for others if you can't help yourself. And maybe some of that is the apathy speaking but I really feel like there's no point in comparing suffering like it's the Olympics.
Like yeah you can always say "at least it wasn't " but I don't think it helps you. It's never helped me. tbfh.

@UndeadSona You're not apathetic. I'm empathetic.

@SinlessOnslaught perhaps that's true
It amazes me how people have to live with profound fear pain and trauma and can’t escape it until eventually death comes. Humans are so strong to keep living in the face of that pain even when they don’t want to they still do

I get envious of those who had fun, happy childhoods. In fact most people I know including any friend I've had, had a decent if not wonderful childhood. They have good self esteem, they've married, had kids, travel...while every year I feel a little more stuck and hopeless.
I get panic over a simple DATE, if I'll panic too much (that im not enough)and need to leave. HEALth anxiety, anxiety at jobs so much I can't do full time. All due to extreme abuse growing up. I watch so many have so much, and complain about the tiniest thing. 🙁

Just because others trauma is not as "traumatic" as ours that doesn't make it less traumatic for them. Just like others monumental trauma doesn't minimize our own.
No?
