Damn he is being really annoying for real in the trip. What should I even do?
So I have posted previously that we came to the hill station named Sakleshpura in western ghats about 220 km from our city Bangalore in India but I not only came with my parents but also my dad's ex-colleague Debdas uncle and his wife who are Bengali too like us. I already mentioned in the post that he is braggy and shows off a lot like his work trips to foreign countries like Spain, UK and recently the Netherlands, his work promotions, about his son etc. He also used to gossip among our Bengali family friend's circle that I was incapable due to getting less than 90% in 10th grade board exams, 12th grade board exams(these are very important in India) and getting a lower tier engineering college during my undergrads even though he couldn't do much when I was doing MBA in 2023-2025 but now I am in a job search phase as I am freshly done with MBA and my mom especially is worried about it and she and dad too lied to everyone like relatives and even family friends including Debdas uncle that I am working already in this FMCG company where I actually joined in May 2025 but quit after just 4 days as the role was unsuitable for me and they were pressurizing and that's because reputation is everything in India and people can gossip brutally in Indian especially Bengali circles and he definitely would.
So yeah today in the trip and resort, Debdas uncle is asking so many questions about my job like which company, what do they do, what timings, what products they sell etc. It was so frustrating and annoying. He was asking me all that even though he is just a family friend who is my dad's ex-colleague and not even a blood relatives. Idk why he is being so nosy but yeah this is again common in many Indian circles. He keeps on asking me multiple things about the job thing. He also for years have an habit of asking whether I have a girlfriend or not. He today too asked me that. He even literally said me that even though he is married and has a wife, he has 2 or 3 girlfriends so asked me whether I have any. Yeah he probably meant in lighthearted way tho as he has a habit of joking or banter. He is 58 now basically and I am 25 and when I said I don't, he asked me why not and said me this is my age for all that so get one soon. Yes I confidently socialize with women both Indian and foreign expats in Central areas of our city Bangalore but that's invisible to most people anyways. So yeah Sakleshpura is such a beautiful place but Debdas uncle made it kinda annoying for real.
