So are you excited to see the highway overtaking videos tomorrow?
So in one of my previous post I posted that as tomorrow is Good Friday and then we have weekend, we are going to the hill station named Sakleshpura in Western Ghats of India about 220 km from our city Bangalore in India. So yeah I am going with parents and my dad's ex-colleague Debdas uncle with his wife who are Bengali like us too. I mentioned Debdas uncle often doing show off and boasting a lot. But I will still try to enjoy the highway drive. We will go in our Maruti Suzuki Baleno car and we hired a driver who we usually hire for trips and he drives our car pretty fast on the highways often at 100-110 kmph sometimes even up to 120 kmph. This is normal on Indian highways where many drives cars really fast and overtaking happens a lot among cars especially with cars like the Toyota Fortuner or Toyota Innova or the BMWs and Mercedes and others and I remember one trip on highway our Baleno was overtaking a BMW X5M which was cruising at probably 100 kmph and our Baleno was going at 110 kmph but the BMW dude's ego got hit and he increased his car speed and overtake us and the BMW was definitely going at 130-140 kmph but couldn't hear its V8 engine sound as our car AC was on. Fortuners especially dominate the Indian highways with its speed as it has a really high torque. But our Baleno still goes pretty fast. Its a much better upgrade than our previous 2003 Maruti 800 AC which we bought 2nd hand in 2009 and used it until 2015. It was really slow and struggled on highways and almost all cars could easily overtake it but our Baleno is a lot faster and can overtake multiple cars like Maruti Swift, Toyota Etios, Renault Duster, Toyota Innova, Mahindra XUV500, Hyundai i20, sometimes even Mercedes Benz or BMW cars especially if they aren't cruising at their full capabilities. So I film these overtaking while sitting in the passenger seat and post them on Instagram stories to show how fast our car goes.
But this time I won't just post them on Instagram stories but will also post them on here(SW). So yeah unlike previous trips where you didn't see the overtaking videos, tomorrow you will see them. Yeah it might sound silly at 25 but I am a car enthusiast, so it just feels thrilling to me. I will also film it and post it if I see any rare older car like in one of my previous trips I saw a 90s Honda Accord or maybe a Peugeot 309 if I am lucky. Definitely hoping to have some thrilling highway moments haha. Unlike my other peers who during trips only post their pics when they reach destination, I also post the highway moments, our Baleno overtaking and also cars in general like if I see a rare car or something. I even posted a Jeep Wrangler Rubicon I saw at a gas station near a restaurant where we ate in our previous trip and also posted a Maybach GLS600 around Bandipur National Park for real at a restaurant and I never expected a Maybach SUV there tbh. So yeah everyone sees that even during trips I post cars haha which makes me unique. So are you all excited too?
