Will there come a time in human history when organized religions fade away and no longer exist?

and if so, what would replace them in shaping people’s values, meaning, and sense of the sacredness?

Perhaps the real constant in history isn’t religion itself...it’s the human longing for meaning, belonging, and reverence.

Even if the institutions change, that longing probably won’t.

I see the future as an illusion for it's always " right now"...so...

Only way to insure a better tomorrow is to build a solid present....spirituality or otherwise.

@Punxi That's a deep thought. Very wise.

We're kind of seeing it now. People moving forward from worshiping the supernatural to worshiping orange politicians

@Elessar That can be a worrying prospect!

Everyone will do what is right in their own eyes, and that is not as cool as it sounds.

@TheHulk That's a concern, isn't it?

All except for Christianity.

If we all have faith in Christ, the World would be way too perfect to live in. No religions and no systems.

Satan would might as be tied into a chair and watch the world rejoice. He can't do shit and can't whisper anyone's ears. Just suffering from extreme boredom.

@FreestyleArt It would be nothing short of a miracle if humanity could one day unite around a common idea or shared way of life.
